So here for sale is this rare drop dead gorgeous W123 280CE Coupe in the arguably best finish of Orient Red. Not many made at all, and even rarer now. The car really is quite something, a truly unique experience in car ownership.Full electric pack including windows, doors and mirrors - Rear headrests, ABS, alloy wheels, and an interior comfort pack with zebrano wood. It drives with such personality and is utterly classless - that is what I love about this car. You could drive it to the gym in your joggers or take it to a wedding suited and booted and it just fits the picture each time!
The engine is excellent having being kept in stellar condition over the years by the previous owners (more on that later). The car pulls itself along rather effortlessly and having owned over 10 vehicles with straight sixes - this one has to be one of the best engineering marvels. When quietly cruising along the engine is quiet and well-behaved however engage the kickdown and the straight six roars into being, it really is quite a novel experience! W123's are sometimes frowned on for their 'apparent' dubious handling but this is more to do with the fact that they are not well maintained - this one is and it handles well for the class of vehicle, the steering box being serviced and maintained would be why. The ABS works well and is very effective at bringing this car to a stop. The parking brake is also working as it should the cables are taught. The gearbox shifts gears smoothly and efficiently, and as above the kickdown works very well.
