And here’s more about the photos, from loyal reader Chuck, who sent the press release:
Lots of photos available. But I tried to get photos of cars that might be in Asheville. I have attached a red 1974 Mercury Montego Villager MX wagon, which just happens to be mine. During our week in town, we typically do a little cruising. This happens to be while we were stopped waiting at a train crossing in Auburn, Indiana. I am from Renfrew, PA
The 1961 Chrysler Newport is owned by Wayne “Spanky” Cox of Effingham, Illinois. Spanky has quite a collection of Chrysler products and we are never sure which wagon he will bring to the show.
The 1972 Chrysler Town and Country owned by Kurt Decker was typically the winner of the Diamond in the Rough award. Then a few years ago Kurt showed up with the car completely restored. Kurt is from Columbus, Ohio.
We typically have at least one Canadian travel south for the show. I would be referring to Richard Woodside from Mississauga, Ontario. Dick, like so many of us, has several wagons, So we are never sure until the last minute, which one he will be driving.
